Semi-Permanent Noise Monitors
For medium term noise monitoring applications
There are many applications where a permanently installed noise monitor is not suitable but where a portable instrument may be subject to damage or vandalism.
In this type of environment, a Semi-permanent noise monitor may be the best solution. By using a portable noise monitor to make the measurements and adding additional security and power, we can build an instrument that is ideal for use over a few months, or even up to a year, but which can be quickly and easily moved to a new location.

This is often an advantage for long term constuction projects where the source of the noise will often move as the project progresses. An example of a semi-permanent installation is shown below.
In this application, the noise is being generated by a construction project which will take place over a number of years. It is very likely that the noise monitor will need to be moved as the project runs and at the end of the construction work, the customer can remove the unit and use it for the next project.
This instruments uses a CR:245/3 Noise Monitor with added weather protection and additional battery power as well as a GSM Cellular Modem to allow for remote downloading of the measurement data.
The Noise-Hub software is used to gather the data from the noise monitor and to present this information in a report format that is required by the customer.
