Recreational noise can be created by a variety of sources such as music events, motor sport events, clay pigeon shooting or tourist attractions.
If these events occur close to local homes there is usually the need to control noise so agreed noise levels are not exceeded and operating hours are respected.
Some venues manage noise by conducting noise surveys using a hand help instrument such as a Cirrus 800 series sound level meter. Other venues need to have one or more permanent outdoor monitors whilst for other events a portable outdoor environmental unit such as the cirrus CK:245 is an ideal solution.
