Project Summary
A CR:245/3 portable noise monitor is used at a motor racing circuit to measure and record levels at the boundary of the site.
The circuit also operates a number of fixed noise monitors that are used to measure and control drive-by noise levels from vehicles on the circuit.
The CR:245/3 Portable Noise Monitor is used at a number of different locations depending upon the type of vehicles using the circuit as well as the noise limits that are in place on different days.
A GSM data link is used to give remote data access as well as a live display of the noise levels when the circuit is being used. The noise data stored by the noise monitor can also be downloaded at the end of the day into the NoiseHub software package to provide reporting and data archiving.
The measurement functions and performance provided by the system are the same as for the Permanent and Semi-Permanent Noise Monitoring unit.
