Project Summary
A noise monitoring system was installed around an international airport with a number of monitors installed to measure and monitor the noise from departing and arriving aircraft.
The noise monitors are located in urban environments and so the CR:243/4 Noise Pole was chosen for its physcial security and simple design. The entire noise monitor is housed within an industry standard lamp post or lighting pole.
There are no large boxes or enclosures on the mast assembly which can be lowered quickly and easily for calibration and servicing.
The measurement functions and performance provided by the system are the same as for the Semi-Permanent and Portable Noise Monitoring unit.
